Why I Don't Have Health Insurance
Many of you have expressed interest in my thoughts on health insurance and specifically why I don't have health insurance I'm feeling in the mood to talk to you about it and would like to preface it with saying that I really encourage everybody to do what feels best for them and I'm going to share about why this is what feels best for me rather simply put I don't have health insurance because I don't want health insurance and I don't feel like it adds value to my life really just not on my radar be honest with you it feels like this for an idea that doesn't have anything to do with my life or what I'm doing I don't really put energy into thinking about the worst case scenario.
I love thinking about the best-case scenario the best-case scenario for my life is that I'm super healthy and always pursuing health in a very active way when I like to live my best case scenario so that's what I'm doing I used to be really sick and at the time I was on my mom's health insurance and she worked for a hospital and had a lot of coverage so she brought me to the doctor a lot and they gave me a lot of medication I know that she spent a lot of money and I spent some money afterwards when I was still under her insurance trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why I was so sick because every time I got sick.
I was prescribed these medications which I just took thinking that they were going to help I was asking the symptoms that I was experiencing which was my body trying to communicate with me what was wrong I really found that our systems are incredible our bodies are incredible and their self healing in the really smart they know what we need if my body temperatures rising and I have a fever or if my throat is sore or if I'm vomiting these are all signs from my body but something's not right maybe I put something into my system that it doesn't like or maybe I'm not doing something to care for my system maybe I'm doing any number of things which is what ever really put a lot of my time into learning learning myself learning my body learning about what feels best for me I've radically changed my diet and my personal care in the last 45 years so that I'm living in a way that's really hope promoting not only have I not been visiting doctors are taking medication or getting sick during any of this time I've been just building and building on my health feeling stronger more confident more in tune with myself more aware of how to take care of myself more empowered and more excited overall I feel like I'm getting stronger and more flexible and more adaptive and just younger I feel like I'm aging backwards I've met so many amazing knowledgeable people along the way who have helped me out when I've been seeking information or advice or experiences from them to share with me and I've taken all that in an integrated it and learn and created my own care package for myself I've experienced athletic injuries during those times and I've learned how to take care of myself in those wastes too.
I wanted to get teeth cleanings during those times and i got in teeth cleanings in Thailand in Costa Rica for like 20 bucks it hasn't happened to me but I've experienced people who have got in injuries that they wanted to get checked out with certain medical equipment and they found clinics that war free or discounted that they were able to get those services in and didn't need health insurance I may have shared this in a recent video one of the things I have found really hopeful when I'm considering different options in my life is to go with the abundance based option and not the fear based options when i when i recognize something as feeling fear based for me I'm just not really that interested in pursuing it for me and my life health insurance has felt like preparing for the worst-case scenario like insuring your health like putting it into the medical community's hands to ensure my health which they didn't I feel like they actually prolonged my sickness and deteriorated my health in a lot of ways I feel like there are certain subjects that tend to feel decided for us or a lot of us have this idea that we don't have a choice around them around the way that we learn or the way that we live or the health care system that we participate in so many different things I love being free I love remembering that and and taking advantage of the fact that we're free beings and we get to do whatever you want and I really believe that for me what is best is following what feels awesome and exciting and fun for me health insurance isn't some fun or exciting to me and it hasn't helped me at all so not having health insurance has really in my life I really believe that if you feel like health insurance is enhancing your life go for it and you don't have to argue your case just do it just do what feels right for you if you feel like looking at other people's choices and saying why they are what you would do what you would do that's fine too it's just helping you gain more data on yourself it it's human nature it makes sense that we want to relate with others and compare and contrast what we're doing with others
