Should I Get Rid Of My Whole Life Insurance?
Jim is with us in Canada hi Jen how are you I'm well I have my question is I have a whole life policy which I knew I would like to get out of but since I started that I was diagnosed with a condition and it's still pretty new and now I want to get rid of it but I'm gonna might not get covered by anything else I just don't know but she get rid of the seven.
I remember drop any life insurance unless you've ever gotten the new insurance policy in your hand and so that'll solve the problem so what you need to do is go and see if you can get good inexpensive term insurance in place and then when you have the policy actually in your hand then and only then what I drop the whole life policy but if you run into trouble like you think you might then you may be stuck in this because you may be what we call uninsurable right yeah and I don't you know I'm without getting into the condition and all that kind of stuff it's you know and and the nuances of it.
I don't know but the best way to find out is to go to a good you know Xander insurance is who we use of course and it should we recommend so you can go to Xander tell them what's going on sometimes they don't even want you to pay that sometimes a run just a dry app they call it meaning it does not have a check with it and you just run the application through and see if you can get the insurance if they don't know or they'll talk to the underwriter in advance and find out if they think it'll work and tell you you know if you just no chance was not bother that kind of a thing or they think they can get it through an example of that would be cancer many many many years ago when the dinosaurs roamed the earth I had a life insurance license and in those days if the word cancer came up anywhere at all you could just forget it I want issuing it period now cancer has been there so many different types of cancers so many different types of treatments so many different types of survival rates and so much more data on after someone is been cancer-free for one year two years five years that now you actually can get life insurance and some of those cases depending on how long you been cancer-free in the type of cancer and so forth so the market has moved on that and you know there's the insurance I people are the underwriters are looking at it more carefully and have a lot more data look at it with and they did back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and so now you actually can get insurance and a lot of those cases so you don't know till you check it out but don't cancel a whole life policy or any other kind of policy until you have your replacement policy in your hand never do that any of you out there are you guys right here hope you are enjoying the Dave Ramsey show and did you know that I my very own YouTube channel that's right challenge that I'm kidding the Subscribe and as a video about life and money while you're at it check out a video then check out how to do a monthly budget buster deals out there
